We meet at 10 am Sundays at Lexus Center in Escondido

Welcome

If you are visiting for the first time we would love to get to know you. Please fill out this CONTACT CARD and be sure to add any prayer needs.

We are a Spirit-filled, non-denominational Christian church that loves to celebrate God, minister His love to one another, and believe His promises for victorious living. Most of all, we’d like to meet you, answer your questions, and introduce you to the Gathering Place Church.

What you will quickly discover is that we are a community of believers who are committed to three things:

  • experiencing the goodness and greatness of God;
  • building genuine Christian friendships; and
  • making a difference in our community and world.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be an intimidating experience. We’ve all been there. So, we’d like to ask you to do one very important thing: relax. We are a non-denominational church where everyone is welcome.

What Time and Where Do You Meet?

We meet at 10 am on Sundays at Lexus Center in Escondido. 1205 Auto Park Way, Escondido, CA

Who Else Attends?

GPC has members from Poway, Carmel Mt. Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, and Rancho Peñasquitos, El Cajon, Carmel Valley, Ramona, Escondido, Valley Center, Spring Valley, and Carlsbad.

How Do I Get to Know More About GPC?

During COVID we are holding our Getting to Know GPC gathering on Zoom. Please notify on your Contact Card that you would like to attend and someone will contact you. This is the best way to learn about GPC.  After the current Covid restrictions lift, we will resume our newcomers’ luncheons.

Details, Details

If you are wondering what to wear, just dress casually. We’re not formal around here. Besides, it’s not a fashion show; we’re here to worship God.

What About Our Children?

While we are meeting outdoors, we are providing a shaded area with toys where you can sit and play with your babies and toddlers. 1st through 5th graders are welcome to join our Kingdom Kids team for a short lesson and fellowship during the sermon and breakout session.

We take ministering to your children very seriously. Our wonderful pastoral team would love to connect with you and is available to serve your family. For more information and additional online resources, check out Kingdom Kids. Please reach out to us anytime at gpckingdomkids@gmail.com.

What About the Youth? What Do They Do?

If you have teens they are going to love our youth ministry! Our middle school youth pastors, Kris & Rachel Larkin (858) 527-2814, and high school pastor, Koby Matsukado (808) 741-4661 are passionate about drawing teens to Jesus, teaching them to follow Him, helping them to connect with other teens, and raising them up as the next generation of kingdom leaders! During COVID the teens meet via Zoom on Thursday nights and in-person (following all protocols) at our Sunday services. On Sundays, the high school and middle school youth stay with the adults for praise and worship. After a short message from one of our pastors, everyone breaks into discussion groups. Your teens will go with our youth pastors and meet with the other teens. Feel free to reach out to any of the youth pastors if you have any questions.

What is a Weekend Service Like?

To start, we have awesome, contemporary, Spirit-filled worship that brings you into the presence of God. We are blessed to have a lot of very talented musicians at GPC. Often there is a time of just waiting on God, allowing the Holy Spirit to touch our hearts. You will almost always hear a testimony or two of the great things God has done in people’s lives from the previous week. These keep us in touch with the goodness and greatness of God! If you would like prayer, there is the time during the service set aside for this purpose, usually at the end of worship or after the message. We like to believe God for the impossible. We have seen God do some amazing things. Multi-media is often used to promote upcoming events or to help powerfully communicate the message for the day. You’ll also receive powerful teaching that will be immediately applicable to your life. We break into discussion groups following this message where you can get to know some people. Afterward, we invite you to hang out talk, or pray with one another. When the Covid restrictions lift, we will resume our “eat and greet” or lunchtimes together. This gives you a great opportunity to get to know a few people in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

Mid-week Connect Groups

Our midweek groups meet at either an outside venue or Zoom call. Click here for more information. Simply text the number for the group you want to attend and you will receive a link to the meeting.

If you have questions, feel free to call or email. We’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have. Most of all, we would love to meet and get to know you.
