I have been keeping a list of things people have said to me during this faith series that are very common, but Biblically inaccurate, that keep us from experiencing all Jesus paid for us to have. Here are some of them that you may have embraced as well:
“My need isn’t as big as some others, so God can meet theirs before mine.” Or, “I have received a miracle, and though there are other things I need, it is time for someone else to get theirs.” Or even worse I’ve heard, “I have not been healed yet, but I’ve decided that if God wants to use this pain to keep my mind on Him that is fine with me.” As humble as these sound, none of them are Biblical.
The truth is, salvation, healing, deliverance, freedom, and prosperity are YOURS, bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus! And just as it brings you great joy to see your children, or loved ones, blessed, healed, prospered, and set-free, so it brings tremendous joy to Jesus to see you experiencing the benefits of what He went through for you.
Imagine you suffering the way He did so others could be blessed, and then they do not accept the benefits of your suffering for bogus reasons. How disappointing would that be? Believe this:
It PLEASES God when you joyfully believe and receive all Jesus paid for you to have!
God does not think like we do. He is not limited like we are. He does not dole out miracles then say, “Okay, you’ve had enough.” He does not say, “Your need is too small for Me to pay attention to. I have bigger problems to solve.” Or, “Your problem is too difficult to solve. ” Or, “Quit bothering me.” Or, “You shouldn’t presume that it’s My will to heal you.” He has already given you the kingdom! He isn’t pleased when we shrink back but rather when we boldly move forward in faith!
The Bible says…
“For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give.” Romans 8:32 TPT
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.” Psalm 103:2-3
“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. And let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’” Psalm 35:27
“So, don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12:32 NLT
Don’t allow unbelief to create your doctrine for you. Do not let what you see, hear, or feel in the natural realm determine what you are going to believe. BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD!
I know it’s a fight, that is why it is called the “fight of faith”. Don’t get discouraged if you haven’t experienced a breakthrough yet. You are fighting against the enemy. You are fighting against your own doubt and unbelief. You are fighting for what is yours – the kingdom! Fight until you win!
This Sunday I will be continuing our FAITH series. You can always join our GPC PODCAST so you never have to miss a message that will encourage you to,
“Walk by faith and not by sight!” 2 Corinthians 5:7.
You can also read CURRENT TESTIMONIES of what Jesus is doing in people’s lives at GPC to help build your faith!
See you Sunday!
p.s. I am so sorry for how cold it was in the auditorium last Sunday! I reached out to the facilities department and they said the heater was broken – which they neglected to inform me about – but they told me that it has been fixed for this Sunday.
