What I Do For GPC: Fill up with God’s love and let it overflow back to Him, our church family and community.
What I Do For Fun: Swim, jog, dance, read, art, clean, write, talk…
What Makes Me Laugh: My little dog Pete and my husband’s laughter.
What Makes Me Cry: Those people who are hurting and don’t know they can turn to God.
In A Previous Life (before GPC): Social worker, therapeutic foster parent and family counselor. I developed social programs, provided training for others to help others, was in a drama/dance touring troupe, taught creative arts, children’s ministry leader and even sheared sheep on the Alps of Austria to earn my keep as I studied residential rehabilitation. I was ordained in 1998 and have traveled and taught with my husband since then, served as a Chaplain and made more mistakes and than I, fortunately, can remember! God is good.
Best Advice I Ever Received: Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. Romans 12:17.
Things I Care About: Knowing God and the grace of God. I care deeply about others knowing God and His grace.
Family Matters: I have a loving and wise husband, Mark; my foster children who lived with me in Canada and a great bunch of family in Canada, Mexico, Europe and Honduras.
My Secret Talent: Not much secret about me – it’s all out there … I do like to create greeting cards to raise awareness and money for families in Liberia. (See createdropsoflove.wordpress.com)
My Favorite Cartoon Character and Why: Wilbur the Pig from Charlotte’s Web… he didn’t give up!
Grew Up Where: Several cities in Canada.
Favorite Movies: The Ultimate Gift.
Food I Can’t Live Without: I just love biscuits – you know, the kind with the baking powder.
What Made Me Want To Follow Jesus: I wanted to belong, be loved, accepted, and find something that could help others who were hurting.
