“Be still and know that I am God” seems like a good idea, but how do we even go about doing that? In today’s distracted world, what would it look like for us to engage in abiding prayer–not prayer out of obligation or as a way to get things from God, but prayer as a God-centered, relationship-fostering practice that actually transforms us from the inside out?

How do we “love God with all our heart”?  The answer is prayer, but of a certain type of prayer – a prayer that is all about a relationship. It is a type of prayer that focuses on “being” with God not for the sake of getting something done but for the sake of the relationship itself.
