The word God has spoken to us for this year is that we are going to,
“See His glory”.
What is God’s glory?
The Biblical definition of glory is weightiness, heavy, honor, visible splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches, and excellency.
Does that sound like something you’d like to see this year?
The opposite of glory is lightness, vanity, instability, temporariness, and emptiness.
The prophet Isaiah prophesied about what God’s glory would look like when it rested on His people in the future – which is now!
Isaiah 60: 1-2 “Arise, shine, for the light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people, but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”
God boils the definition of His glory down to one word – His goodness! (See Exodus 33:18-19)
God’s desire is for His glory to rest heavy on your life, our church, and our city this year in a way we haven’t seen before.
But we need to partner with Him to see this happen.
