No matter who wins in November, we will all still lose – unless we turn back to God.
No person, politician, or political party can heal us. We are WAY beyond that point.
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.” Psalm 118:8,9
“Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly…” Psalm 108:12,13a
I understand that God governs through leaders, and I have my own hopes on who will lead our nation for the next four years, but ultimately, if God is not our leader, we are in serious trouble.
But here is the good news; there is a pattern in Scripture that shows us how God will turn our nation around. We can see this pattern clearly in the account found in 1 Kings chapters 18 and 19.
There a pattern in Scripture that shows us how God will turn our nation around. We can see this pattern clearly in the account found in 1 Kings chapters 18 and 19.
In Chapter 18 God tells the prophet He is going to send rain after a three-and-a-half-year drought.
That is prophecy. (Things to come)
Then in Chapter 19 we see Elijah calling people to follow God.
That is preaching.
Then we see Elijah, “…bowed down on the ground with his face between his knees.” 1 Kings 18:42
That is praying.
Then the outpouring.
That is promise fulfilled.
This is the pattern you need to use for the things you are believing God for in your life. But it is also the pattern we need to follow if we want to see our nation healed.
God gives us this tremendous promise:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
But we need to do it!
That is why I am asking you to join me on Saturday, September 26th, from 9am-10am at our next We Pray San Diego event. Last time over 7000 believers showed up in person at 18 different locations to pray. Over 8,000 online. There were over 135 churches and 148 pastors.
Will you join me?
